The advantages of a medium-sized community are numerous. We have strong resources in a friendly, safe, convenient destination, yet we’re within easy reach of a larger metro area, Evansville, and all that it has to offer. Warrick County is centrally located between Nashville, St. Louis, Louisville, Indianapolis, and Cincinnati. Because it’s nestled in Southern Indiana, it’s a prime spot for outdoor activities such as fishing at the Blue Grass Fish and Wildlife Area, a hiking trail by the Ohio River, and waterskiing at the Interlake State Recreation Area. We’re also home to a major bird flyway, where you can see Blue Heron, Migrating Swans, Duck, Kingfishers, and many others.
Proficient healthcare and medical services reside at Deaconess Gateway Hospital, St. Vincent Epworth Crossing, and numerous healthcare services. Many more are found in the Warrick Wellness Trail medical and lifestyle park. Numerous walking and cycling trails—in place and under development—provide fitness options throughout the county, funded in part through public and private groups. Young and old alike enjoy the active youth sports programs, which include baseball, football, soccer (futbol), hockey, swimming, golf, and more. The United Leasing Golf Tournament, a stop of the KornFerry.com PGA Tour, takes place in Warrick County, and we hosted the 2015 and 2016 Big Ten Men’s Golf Championships.
At all levels, the Warrick County schools are among the best in the state. ISTEP results are consistently exceptional, and local schools boast numerous National Merit Scholars. Our up-to-date educational facilities are stable financially, and all of our educational institutions work proactively to meet the needs of the students.
